In 1992 Jim moved back to Denver to work for Norris rods and in 2007 he became Sales manager. Jim started his career in 1978 in the sub surface pump shop with Oilwell Supply in Fort Morgan Colorado, he also worked as a store manager for The Bovaird Supply Company in Farmington NM. Jim’s knowledge from the New Mexico San Juan Basin, North Dakota Bakken, Utah Uinta Basin and oilfields in Eastern Colorado and California is valuable in his ability to suggest and optimize rod lift applications in a wide variety of well environments.

Utilize artificial lift to increase productivity of wells. With over 40 years in the oil and gas industry, Jim has extensive expertise in artificial lift applications specializing in rods and sub surface pumps. Monitor corrosion and resolve paraffin and scaling issues. Provide input to pilot design and interpretation.Īnalyze and resolve water chemistry issues. Own the quality and implementation of optimization tools.

Prepare manuals, and train/develop engineers and operating personnel in the candidate’s area of expertise.Ĭoach and mentor other production engineers and graduates within the team.ĭesign well completion and propose alternatives if required.ĭesign and execute quality assurance/quality control measures and perform post-job analysis. This includes artificial lift, stimulation, production, well design and testing programs, reservoir flow properties, and fluid studies.Įvaluate new technologies, tools, or techniques and decide on suitability then present, or assist in the presentation of proposals to management, technical, and operating groups.ĭetermine and evaluate optimum artificial lift solutions to maintain productivity of wells.Įvaluate and design surface equipment, wellbore tubulars, and bottomhole assemblies for artificial lift and propose alternatives if required.Įvaluate the performance of artificial lift systems and recommend improvements as necessary.

You will be required to perform the following:Ĭonduct studies and projects assuring adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of problems in all areas. You must have experience in unconventional resources or HPHT/tight gas with a strong understanding of hydraulic fracturing.Įxperience with relevant software such as Prosper, RodStar, SROD, Saphir, WellCat and Gohfer/StimPlan (or equivalent) is preferred. You must have a minimum of 10 years of extensive production engineering and artificial lift experience, and part of that in unconventional reservoirs with the ability to perform nodal analysis. Chronos Consulting’s client is searching for a Production Optimization Engineer.Īs a successful candidate you should hold a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering with post-graduate studies being a plus for the position.
